LIKE OMG, you have to hear this one.
and i swear this is retribution for what i did to karim & matin at zouk.
so we thought we'd go smoke sheesha since we had with us two virgin sheesha-ers, neng and rina.
we decided on ambrosia, slightly up class.
you know, with the arabic ambience and exotic food (don't let me start on that), carpetted floor and comfy cushions thrown about.
away from the normal sheesha-ing at the sight of the road, making you look druggy and sleezy and all sorts.
(which now, i think is a better choice)
SO, we sheesha-ed and cam whored but little did we know that whilst we were having helluva fun blowing smoke on each others faces, OUR FOOTWEAR WAS GETTING NABBBED DOWNSTAIRS.
here's the deal, you have to leave your footwear by the stairway because of the carpetted flooring on the upper level.
PROBABLY FOR HYGIENE PURPOSES.
(they don't know that preventing hygiene would be costing them)
so when we were about to leave ambrosia, we realised that our footwear was missing!
thing is, the theif didn't steal rina's and neng's footwear but dianna's and mine
and we're all using the same brand of footwear.
(let me remind you, not cheap footwear)
the people at ambrosia had the audacity to ask us to go down to the police station to make a report and come back to get a reimbursement on our footwear.
but go what, barefooted?!
AND THEY DIDN'T FOOT OUR BILL, we ended up paying.
dees and i borrowed neng and rina's footies to make our way down to get the police report done.
THEN THEN THEN, we waited for a cab for like forever and walked blocks down till we spotted a police car.
in footwear that didn't fit us right, we still ran after the police car, two traffic effing lights away.
and only to get rejected but given messy directions to the nearest station.
i say policeman (on patrol) have no sense of directions.
he said a five minute walk, but it was sure as hell wasn't five minutes.
but hey, i like policeman (in the station and not on patrol) because they're super uber friendly!
inbetween the report making, the ambrosia people tried as hard as they could to find replacement slippers for us to get home after.
pretty trail slippers for dianna and awesome mustafa slippers for me.
FASHION DISASTER LAH!
we had this footies to wear to lau pa sat for supper.
reimbursement total: $229.
